She rarely puts it up but sometimes if she feels as if it's a mess and can't tame it then she will place it in a pony tail which always shows her oval face more and those dark Hazel eyes that always seem as if they were enlighten with something.
Elena is very slender and thin this is mostly due to her activity life style she lives and her old cheerleading ways. Her style for her slender figure is jeans and long sleeve tops of course when the weather warms up she enjoys wearing shorts and t-shirts, revealing her skin which always seems to go brown at the sight of light.

OVERALL?! - Elena or lena as people tend to call her, is a very stubborn character. Once her eyes are set on something she won't let anyone or anything stop her. Specially Damon who always tries so hard to stop her but failing every time. Lena is also a very understanding and caring character who believes in being there for her friends and taking care of them when they need her most. She refuses to leave them along wanting to protect everyone from something which mostly tends to be the supernatural world that lives outside her window.
She isn't scared to tell people what she thinks, specially Damon who she likes standing up to when he's being a ass (though this is rare now of days). Some say Elena is very stupid standing up to these people but she believes someone has to and insists that she's that person. Elena though is scared of somethings one which includes the feelings that she has for Damon. they have been building up for sometime and since she kissed him on his so called deathbed she can't silence the thoughts and feelings that came up when she thinks about him. Her fears also include having no one there Which seems to becoming the case now of days. Jeremy, Caroline, Bonnie and Damon are the only ones there, Damon happening to be her support most the time as the rest of them are to busy with their own lives.
Elena dislikes have their reasons if you didn't know. Blood is something that tends to lure in vampires causing hell where ever it's found and not to mention it sends Stefan off from his good self to something Elena had never seen in her life before. She's scared of what it can do to him, what it makes him become. Lena also dislikes Katherine Pierce her dopleganger who wants to see Elena dead at the bottom of the sea. This is still yet to happen of course. Kat is still buying her time and with Damon Elena is sure everything will be OK.
For likes, Elena enjoys nothing more then sitting back in her chair and writing in her diary which she views as 'normal' though nothing in her life is normal, she has begun accepting the fact that it she isn't normal. That life isn't normal, how every since a child she's been told everything is normal which was just another lie which Elena can't stand.

Much of Elena's history was a lie spun by her adoptive parents who even to this day she still calls mom and dad. There is no hate there for the fact that Miranda and Grayson Gilbert lied to her as she grew up being told she was their child. It was what they had believed best and if it wasn't for the car crash that happened a few years ago she would have been told by them.
It was a stormy night from what Elena could gather from her family and friends. Her birth mother was about to give birth to Elena and needed a place to go which of course was the hospital seeing that elena birth father's brother worked there they took in John's six-teen year old girlfriend and helped her give birth to Elena. Of course that night Isobel left the hospital leaving Lena behind, With Grayson and Miranda Gilbert who took the honour in adopted Elena much to John's happiness.
Like most children Elena was the same as any other. Playing with her barbies, making mess and screaming her head off tended to be what children did and the only peace you would ever get from her was when she was sleeping. She grew up fast of course and when she reach two years of age her parents surprised her with a little baby brother making Elena a big sister. She took this big sister thing very serious as a child and insisted on playing with baby Jeremy, feeding him and watching him nap though she tended to get bored of watching him sleep and went to go and play with her barbies again.
As she grew up along side her best friends Bonnie and Caroline the more beautiful she got though she never noticed it. Her real father did though and was in shock to see her look like Katherine everyday and decided to do some research on it unknown to Elena who was at this point unaware about doplegangers and all that jazz. Things were great for Elena until that one day when it all fell apart.
Elena had decided to go to a party that night, not to spend family time with her parents or brother. She wanted to just go to this party that a friend was throwing and no surprise Elena needed someone to come and get her. Her parents being the good kind ones decided to come and get her driving to pick her up. They were on their way home when the car went out of control sending it into a river. Elena was meant to die that day but something stepped in to save her. Stefan Salvatore who pulled her out in time though her parents couldn't be saved.
After the death of her parents things were much more harder for Elena then normal. Jeremy had begun taking drugs and it felt almost as if he blamed Elena for it all. For the death of their parents and Elena couldn't help but agree with him. She should have never went to that party like she did. But you cannot rewind time. Things begun picking up one day when Stefan Salvatore came to school and Elena fell head over heels. Of course she was unaware of what he is or what he was...
