weeping island.
appropriately named after the vast population of weeping european beech trees that seem to be so out of place, the island is seemingly empty other than that. well, empty of life at least. all of the buildings seem to be in top condition as if there have been people there the whole time, but none of the people arriving there can find any natives of the place. in fact, the only indications that are left are the few signs, rusting from the wear and tear of the weather of this place.
speaking of the weather, of course, it seems to be quite nice. it's at a pretty warm climate, usually around eighty degrees fahrenheit, which isn't too bad considering it could be a lot worse. the endless seas give it a constant smell of sea salt - even if they don't really get to venture out into the water due to a force literally stopping them in their tracks. or, of course, causing them to just teleport directly to the boundary. whatever works, as no one ever seems to get out.
there are a few more... peculiar things about this place, other than the people coming to it. with all of it's running and heated water, top plumbing, and everything of the sort - you'd think it has proper electricity. outlets, or maybe even a wifi if you're from the right year. it has no such thing. sure, you may have your phones and laptops for a while, but there's no way you'll be able to connect them, and there battery will more than likely die in the process of trying to get it connected.
so you'll just have to do your best to survive. good luck. you never know what creatures may be lurking in the darkness.
