She longed for a normal life before her child was born, but it was something she never obtained. She even tried to disguise herself under the fake name of Arlene. She clipped coupons, she ate barbecue with her new fiance, and tried to forget about all the people she'd murdered for Bill, her previous boss and lover. It feels good for the blonde when she finishes off a kill, and she hates that it does.
To those she loves, which aren't many anymore, she is fiercely protective. She may not trust herself, but she can put her trust in those she does love, unless their name is Bill. Though she has feelings for the man, he shot her and killed her unborn daughter (or so she thinks), and that isn't something you can simply forget. After the incident at the wedding chapel, Beatrix grew a shell. On the outside, there's a renegade killer that you'd better hope to hell you don't cross paths with and tick off. She's got a Hanzo sword and she's not afraid to use it. But if you get on her good side, which rarely happens, she can be a loyal companion.

FINALE?! - Beatrix was a member of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad, lead by the infamous Bill. Miss Kiddo was a wise woman, wise beyond her years in fact, and she was one of the deadliest of the group. Naturally, she attracted Bill's attention and the two formed a relationship. Elle Driver, another member of the Squad, grew jealous, as she also desired a relationship with their boss, and she grew hostile towards Beatrix.
She travelled to China with Bill, who told her the story of Pai Mei, a martial arts master. He warned her about American sass and how Pai Mei would kill at will, and soon enough, Beatrix was off to train under him for as long as he would have her. She was every aspect of the things he despised. Though she had been deadly before, after years of training under Pai Mei, she became the best in the world before returning to serve under Bill.
One unsuspected day, Beatrix was on a plane on one of Bill's missions. She got sick, and assumed that perhaps she was pregnant. After buying the test, it was confirmed, and she was...shocked, to say the least. After managing to shake off another assassin who attempted to kill her at her hotel where she'd taken the test, Beatrix made a decision. She couldn't return to Bill. She couldn't return to a life of killing. Not when she was going to be a mother. So she ran off and met a man named Tommy, living under the assumed identity of Arlene Machiavelli. She was happy as a clam, but never fully satisfied working in a record store.
Beatrix and Tommy became engaged, and whilst at their wedding rehearsal, Bill showed up. At first his intentions seemed harmless, simply wanting to attend the wedding (of which Beatrix had nobody else to attend on her side). He had showed up because when Beatrix disappeared, he had assumed she was dead and wanted to track down her killer. Only to find her with a fiance and pregnant, with a baby he had assumed was Tommy's.
Once Beatrix returned to her wedding rehearsal to continue as Bill watched, the other members of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad showed up and preformed a massacre. Beatrix was beaten brutally, thrown around from one member to the other, before Bill shot her in the head after she tried to tell him that it was his baby.
After the bullet in the head, it sent her into a coma she was to lay in for four years, in which she delivered her baby successfully and was raped repeatedly by a male nurse named Buck, who also sold her body for prostitution while she was comatose. She awoke and killed the man, before starting her hunt for the people who had nearly killed her.
The last thing the assassin remembers is obtaining a sword, possibly the greatest sword in the world, from Hattori Hanzo, officially the greatest swordmaster in the world. Before she could start her hunt for Bill or discover that her daughter had lived, she became LOST IN THIS PLACE (See what I did there?).
