Hello, the eleventh doctor.
» Is there anything you would rather be called?
“Well, I really just go by The Doctor. It’s a good name, isn’t it? I’m called that because...well, I don’t know why, really, but that’s my name, anyway. I have lots of other aliases and names I go by, but I don’t always remember them. Terrible memory, when you’ve got nine hundred years of aliases to go by!”
» Great, now that we've got that covered. How old are you?
“Nine hundred. Well, ish. Or a thousand. Something round about there. I used to keep count exactly, but it’s a very long time and even with a mind like mine, I ended up losing count. I might have started at the beginning again a few times. And sometimes I lie. I always lie. I’m old, anyway. Very old! I’m very, very old. So old, now.”
» I see, and you're in what member group? And do you happen to be a native of this place?
“Oh, I’m a little bit of everything, aren’t I? Time travelling alien in my little blue box. It’s not so little, you know. But I would go with sci-fi. Not that it’s fiction, you understand! Science, yes, but not fiction. And I’m not a native of anywhere, anymore.”
» You know, has anyone ever told you that you look exactly like...?
“Matt Smith? Who’s that? No idea. He must be a very handsome fellow, anyway. Funny chin, though...”
» Thanks! Slipped my mind. Now, do you know the super secret code word?
“Florence. Firenze! I always think it sounds so much better in the Italian. Have you been? Da Vinci, Raphael, Florence Nightingale. She didn’t like me much. I kept putting out her lamp, I think that’s why.”

Let's talk about your personality.
» What are a few of your favorite things?
“Travelling. All of time and space, everything that ever is or was, I love it! Of course, that means I have to like running, too, because I always seem to end up running...or being chased. Usually getting chased, I don’t know why that is, you know. I’m only trying to help. I love humanity, all of it, the good and the bad. I’ll do anything to save them. Hats, and bow ties! They’re cool! Especially Fezzes! Oh, and jammie dodgers. My TARDIS, my dear Sexy, I love her. I’d be lost without her, you know. And the people I’ve known. All of them, amazing people. I love them all. Oh, and my nights with River. But I shouldn’t talk about those.”
»That's interesting. Is there anything you absolutely dislike?
“Not being ginger. Really. Eleven bodies and I’m still not ginger. How is that fair? The Daleks. Well, there are lots of species that don’t really like me, and the feeling’s mutual, but the Daleks in particular...they are my greatest enemy, and I am theirs. I don’t like it when people die, when babies are stolen, when people make me angry...and I can get so very, very angry. Thinking about the other Time Lords, about Gallifrey, about being the only one of my kind...that makes me sad.
» Hm, what is your greatest fear?
“I’m the Doctor, I don’t fear anything! And that might be a lie, because rule number one is that the Doctor lies, but I’m not afraid of anything.”
» Yeah, that is scary. Do you have any dreams for the future?
“Not dying would be nice. I’ve only just avoided that, not that Amy and Rory know...couldn’t tell them about the Tesselector, it’s too dangerous, but I would very much like to not have to fake my own death again. It’s extremely tiring, especially when all of time starts to fall apart. And even if it’s not permanent, I like this body. It’s cool.”
» Wow, I hope you succeed. Can you tell me a little bit about yourself?
“I’m the Doctor! I’m a Time Lord, and you might say that I look human, but really, you look Time Lord. We were here first, after all. Anyway, enough of that! I love adventure and people, and it’s almost become my mission in life to have fun and save people at the same time. Mostly because the TARDIS always seems to take me to places where people need saving, even if that’s not where I wanted to go – she takes me where I need to be, instead. I’m incredibly smart, smarter than anyone, and no, I’m not always right, and I have to think on my feet, but I like that—and I always come up with a plan eventually! I talk too fast, because I’m processing things quicker than a human would, and I’m full of energy, even though I’m pretty old, now. It’s better to have energy. But I’m weary, too, sometimes, alone again – and after I had made my peace with dying, too, because it was a fixed point in time. I can be angry, so very angry, and if I say that I’m going to seek revenge, I will. I might look young, but I’m old, and I can be a little arrogant sometimes, and you do not want to make me angry, you do not want to ask me to prove you wrong, because I will do it. There is a reason that I’m feared across galaxies...but give me jammie dodgers and a fez, and I’m happy!”

So far so good. Now for history.
» So tell me, where are you from? What did you think of it?
“I’m from Gallifrey. Of course, it’s gone now—beautiful planet, shame about the Time Lords and their rules. I ran away, so really, I’m from here, there and everywhere. The TARDIS is my home; I don’t need anywhere else.”
» Do you have any other family? Parents? Siblings? Extended? What do you think about them?
“No. They’re gone. All my family, all the Time Lords. I killed them all. Well, there’s River, I’m married to her. Well, a version of me is. And that would make Amy and Rory my parents-in-law, which is kind of funny since I’m so much older than them, and Amy kind of sort of kissed me, just a little bit...but I’m still the last of my kind.”
» What is your worst memory/memories?
“I’ve lived for over nine hundred years. I have a lot of bad days to choose from, and what’s the point in dwelling in bad memories when there are so many wonderful things out there to see and do?”
» What is your best memory/memories?
“Oh, where do I start? Even if I just limit it to this body, this side of me, where do I start? Little Amelia Pond, River, saving the day a lot, not dying, Amy and Rory’s wedding, all of my adventures...there’s no way I could pick just one memory, I have too many. Memories are what we have to cling to, after all, when everyone else is gone. You know, the good ones. I don’t like to think about the bad ones.”
» Where are you now? What are you doing with your life?
“Well, right now, I’m here. I don’t know where here is, yet, but I’ll find out. I don’t have my TARDIS, though, and that’s a problem. I always have her...and I would know where I was if I did. I do have my sonic screwdriver, though, so I’ll be alright...perhaps I can calibrate it with the key to—anyway. This is what I do with my life. I end up in places and I usually have to end up running a lot, because people don’t seem to like me very much, even though I’m absolutely charming, so aside from the getting here part, this is pretty normal for me. I’m alone at the moment, since Amy and Rory have a life back home, now, and I can only see River at night, since she’s in prison for killing me – or, you know, the Tessalector me – which I won’t be doing for the moment, what with not having my TARDIS and everything. I’m not happy about that; I hope she’s okay. People can’t just take my TARDIS.”
