OVERALL?! - Buffy is not your average girl. She dropped out of college to slay full time and has never had a functional relationship with any of her previous boyfriends. Buffy is surrounded by friends but always feels alone because she is the “chosen one”. She did not choose her path, it chose her and she has always been bitter about this. Buffy wants to find love but finds it difficult since the only men she is not stronger than are vampires.
Buffy pushes people away because from a young age she has felt responsible for her parent’s divorce. She also has issues with letting men in since her first serious boyfriend went evil after they slept together and since then she has had trouble having a good relationship with a man that she deserves. She loves her friends very much and has died for them on occasion in order to save the world. Buffy’s number one priority is always saving the world which often leads her to wonder when she can stop trying, let someone else take over, and start her own life.

FINALE?! - Buffy became the slayer when she was a sophomore in high school. She got kicked out of school in Los Angeles because of it and her parents divorced. She has dated two vampires, Angel and Spike, both of whom had souls during parts of their relationship. Buffy also dated a few humans, most notably Riley Finn. This was probably one of her more functional relationships but it didn’t last because Buffy couldn’t let him in the way she let Angel in. Buffy has died twice: once, briefly in high school due to drowning and another time when she jumped into a portal to close it and save the world.
Being the slayer has made life extremely difficult for Buffy. Her friendships with those outside of “the Scoobies” are made difficult since she can’t exactly tell anyone who she is. She has lost friends because of her slaying duties and she has also had to make difficult choices, sacrificing her personal feelings to save the world many a time. An excellent example of this is when she killed her boyfriend, Angel, to save the world (he did later come back but their relationship never recovered). She has given up so much and gained so little but one thing she did get from slaying that she is always grateful for is her sister, Dawn. Dawn is technically a portal key in human form that was made from Buffy’s blood but Buffy never considers her that and loves Dawn as a real sister. She also has slaying to thank for meeting Angel and Spike.
Buffy has two best friends, Xander and Willow. She loves both of them but finds that, especially lately, they have been drifting away from her and moving on. Xander started to date Buffy’s sister, Dawn and Willow is always off on some sort of witch adventure with her girlfriend, Kennedy. Buffy, meanwhile, is trying to move on from Angel and Spike and find new love (which is proving a little difficult). After destroying her home town of Sunnydale to save the world Buffy is hoping to truly move on from the mistakes of her past and start over (albeit as a vampire slayer)
