[[simply reposting to continue old tread]]
When The Doctor said farewell to Wilf after dropping Donna off for the last time it had been storming. The second he stepped back into his TARDIS he made a silent vow to never bring anyone else with him. His companions ... as brilliant and wonderful as they were ... had a tendency to break his heart into a million pieces. That night when from moments of glory to soul shattering. Then it went straight to panic mode meltdown. Lightening had literally struck sending the TARDIS spinning out of control, leavings its pilot white knuckled as he hung on to the control panel for dear life.
“Oi now! None of this! It’s not the first time.” he shouted as he quickly worked the controls only to be reward with what could only be taken as an unsatisfied grunt from his ship. He felt himself slide as She shifted slightly, her alarms ringing even louder than before. Then all suddenly went quiet as he felt the TARDIS land with a thunk ... a very soggy thunk. A serious look crossed the usually cheerful face of the Tenth Doctor as he fidgeted with the controls. “Come on, old girl, what was that for?” he muttered to the TARDIS.
Frustrated when he didn’t get the results he wanted he finally allowed the curiosity of wondering just where she landed him at. “Ugh” the grumble left him as he stepped in water and sand as it seeped in from the outside, filling his shoes. “What?” he question to no one but himself as he flung open to the door to reveal a stretch of beach that went on for miles. Peeking his head out he looked around at his surroundings. A sign was perched just outside the door and to his left, wooden and handed painted with the words “Welcome to Weeping Island”.
Looking at it sceptically he turned away from the beach to head back to the control station, pausing only to take off his now soggy shoes and plopping them down over the ramp railing. Padding his way back he grabbed the screen trying to figure out just where he was at when everything dimmed and went dark. “What?!” came the shout as he hastened around the control panel to bring back up the now hibernating TARDIS.
